Seemed to stop my breath
My head on your chest
Waiting to cave in
From the bottom of my...
Hear your voice again
Could we dim the sun
And wonder where we've been
Maybe you and me
So kiss me like you did
My heart stopped beating
Such a softer sin

Things like the way he was a gentleman... )

[ooc: for this fiction Elle will be an OTHER...and the plane just crashed!]

Watching the plane had been surreal, the way it tore apart in the sky... the sections breaking off felt like something she could almost feel, almost sympathize with. Parts that were meant to be together not being sure just how to avoid the pull of the island. When it happened it had hurt her. The pull of that damn station in the middle of nowhere clinging to her nervous system as the magnetic field was something she actually felt akin to and felt it bleeding out into the air. She had winced in fear, watching the plane get ripped apart hoping that whatever could do that would leave her in tact.

When the vibration stopped it's echo in her chest she shut her eyes feeling her body relax and the pressure of a steady hand at the small of her back. Ben was already making demands his eyes casting over her knowing she was a risk as it was. Special Projects Richard had said, and Ben was wary of her since the day she arrived. Handy sure, she knew her usefulness on the island, and didn't rightly care what Ben had planned for them all, but feeling the island was unique to her and Ben seemed to harbor his own jealousy for that very fact.

"Are you alright?"

Elle nodded, her hand pulling her hair out of her face as she turned away from Ben's prying eyes to Richards deep brown ones that seemed to hide the compassion she knew was there so well, "I felt it was all... that pull." Shaking her head a bit she tried to rid herself of the feeling that was slowly creeping over her skin. "I'll be fine."

"Juliet-"

She was the doctor and Elle hadn't trust her for a while, but over time her soothing voice and attempts at humor had allowed Elle to give in and show her just what was so remarkable about her. Juliet knew to take care with treating her, not to use anything that could get shorted out if she should panic. So when Richard called her over Elle tried to brush her off.

"Honestly, it just took me a bit, I'll be fine. There are other things to do... I'm sure Ben has something already planned."

Juliet rolled her eyes and Elle smirked up at her, "Trust me, it's nothing. Always will be just this island trying to kick my ass because I'm not supposed to be here."

"That makes two of us," Juliet remarked before heading back toward Ben to find out no doubt when they expected to hear from Goodwin again.

Exhaling Elle glanced back to Richard, "Don't look at me that way, you know I don't belong here. It doesn't like me here, and every chance it has to tell me that? It does. I'm different, but I'm not Chosen... who knows he's probably on that plane and the island is just trying to convince me that it would sooner tear a plane from the sky then let me stay here peacefully."

Richard moved toward her, brushing her hair away from her eyes, and tucking it behind her ear, "I like you here, that's all that should matter."

Nodding she smiled softly up at him, pressing up on tip toes to brush a kiss to his cheek, "I know, and it is."
